Simple Scissors’ staff takes great care to seasonally decorate its terrace
Janesville, WI — The Design Committee of Downtown Janesville, Inc has selected Simple Scissors as its Storefront of the Month at their October meeting. The Committee selects a store to honor each month May-October and presents a sign for the owner to proudly display in their window for the following month. Next year, the committee will award four trophies to the Storefront of the Season winners as a new annual tradition.
Simple Scissors which is located at 201 East Milwaukee Street was honored to receive the award. Rachel Teubert, owner of the salon, says that her staff enjoys decorating the space outside their front door seasonally. The committee loves that they creatively use their outdoor public space as an extension of their business and make that corner a welcoming and festive area. The committee puts up corn stalks and other fall decorations, but it is nice to have businesses contribute to the festive fall landscape downtown.
