We are a full-service Title Insurance company. We are Agents for Old Republic, Chicago Title, Fidelity Title and First American Title, National Title Insurers. We strive to provide excellent customer service and ensure a smooth transaction. We prepare Title Insurance commitments and issue the Final Title Policies. We prepare Settlement Statements for closings, and then close and disburse the transaction for the Lenders, Buyers, Sellers and Real Estate Agents. We handle New Construction transactions including collecting Final Lien Waivers and disbursing funds with each draw. We follow the construction process to the end and insure that we have all Final Lien Waivers.I have been doing this for almost 39 years and you learn something new all the time. It keeps you thinking and learning.
Why did you choose to locate downtown?
I am from Janesville and lived here when the downtown was the hub of the city.My father started his business in Downtown Janesville and even had to pay to put in the parking deck over the river. All downtown business owners had to pay.I love all the old buildings we have downtown. They have a history as well as beauty. I wanted the business to be located downtown because it felt like home.When there was an opportunity to move to the upper floor of the Bennison and Lane building, I jumped on it. We signed a lease for a gutted building and have beautiful offices today!Downtown Janesville felt right for Land Title and it still does today!
What's the best thing about being downtown?
The new activity being generated all the time. The downtown is alive and thriving!I have always had a passion for the downtown and in order for our community to thrive and grow, we must have a vibrant downtown, especially if we want attract young people to move here or to have the ones that grew up here move back.We have great schools, crime is low, great place to raise a family and now we need to keep building on what we have done so far. There is more to do and we can do it.
